This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Ganesha Chaturthi




The great Ganesha festival also known as 'Vinayaka Chaturthi 'is celebrated during the month of Bhadra. It is a 10 day festivity ending on Anantha Chaturdasi. Lord Ganesha is believed to remove all obstacles that stand in ones spiritual path.

On this auspicious day of Ganesha Chaturthi ,I wish all my readers a very happy festival. May Lord Ganesha bestow upon you good health, prosperity and protect each one of you from all evils.
