Jack Fruit Kadabu |
Ingredients:
25 ripe de seeded jack fruit pods
1 cup rice
1 cup fresh coconut
1 cup jaggery
1 tea spoon salt
1 table spoon finely chopped coconut pieces
10 almond leaves.
Preparation:
1. Wash and soak the rice for an hour
2. Grind the soaked rice, jack fruit pods, jaggery , coconut and salt to a fine paste without adding water.
3. Mix the finely chopped coconut pieces to the batter
4. Spread the batter evenly on the almond leaf and cover it with another leaf. Repeat this with all the leaves
5. Put these leaves on the idli stand and steam for ten minutes.
6. Cool and peel off the leaf.
7. Serve the jack fruit kadabu with hot ghee.
