Ammana adige mane in Kannada means mother's kitchen. This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Fruit and nut chocolate



Fruit and nut chocolate
                                                                     
There is hardly anybody who does not like chocolates. It is perhaps the most popular food item all over the world. Research shows that eating  moderate amount of chocolate benefits health.

Ingredients:
500 gm cooking chocolate bar
100 gm sweetened condensed milk
1 cup of chopped, assorted, roasted nuts
2 table spoon white butter

Preparation:
1. Melt the cooking chocolate bar in a double boiler.
A double boiler is a stove top apparatus used to cook delicate sauce that otherwise burns when cooked on direct flame. A double boiler consists of a bowl placed on top of a pan of simmering water.
2. When the chocolate bar melts add the condensed milk, butter and mix well
3. Now add the assorted ,roasted nuts and mix well.
4. Take off the mixture from the double boiler and cool.
5. Spread the mixture on a greased plate and cut into required shape or make small balls and wrap in colored paper.
6. Store in the refrigerator
