Butter Sauteed Spinach |
This is a quick cooking - vegetable side dish. With just a touch of butter and a quick stir, a vegetable side dish can be made which is crunchy and tastes great.
Ingredients:( serves two)
1 big bundle spinach
1 bundle Chinese spinach
2 big garlic cloves
2 table spoon cooking butter
1 tea spoon pepper powder
1 tea spoon oregano
1 table spoon parmesan cheese (optional)
Salt to tastePreparation:
- Wash and pat dry the spinach and chop into big pieces or just tear it with hand
- Crush garlic gently
- In a large sauté pan melt butter on a low flame, add the crushed garlic and sauté for half a minute making sure garlic is not burnt
- Raise the heat to high and add the chopped spinach
- Keep flipping and stirring until spinach barely gets wilted and all the moisture is gone
- Put off the flame and add salt, pepper powder and oregano
- (Sprinkle parmesan cheese if using)
- Toss and serve hot immediately
