Ammana adige mane in Kannada means mother's kitchen. This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Coriander potato

                                             
Coriander potato
Coriander potato is a simple dish with minimum ingredients full of flavor. It is an excellent accompaniment with roti or poori.

Ingredients: 
500 gm baby potatoes boiled and peeled
1 cup packed  fresh coriander leaves
4-5 green chilies
5-6 garlic pod
Salt to taste
1 spoon jeera
 2 table spoon oil

Preparation:
1. Grind to a fine paste coriander leaves, garlic and green chilies to a coarse paste
2. Heat oil in a pan and add jeera.
3. When jeera splits add the ground masala and saute for a minute
4. Add salt and mix well
5. Add the boiled and peeled potatoes and mix well so that the masala coats the potatoes well
6. Cook covered for two minutes
7. Serve with hot poori or roti
