This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Dry Fruits ladoo



Dry fruits ladoo
                                                                   
This is a very nutritious, healthy ladoo with assorted dry fruit and dates. The sweetness of the ladoo is derived from the dates itself, and hence does not require any sugar, making it all the more healthier!


Ingredients:
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup  cashews
1/4 cup  pista
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup mecademia nuts
1/4 cup pecan nuts
2 cups de seeded dates
1/4 tea spoon cardamom powder
2 table spoon ghee

Preparation:
1. Dry roast the dry fruits separately
2. Grind coarsely all the dry fruits
3. Grind coarsely the dates
4. Mix the ground dry fruits, dates, cardamom powder and ghee.
5. Mix well till all the ingredients blend well
6. Make ladoo of the required size
7. Store in air tight container
