Paneer Tikka

                                         Paneer Tikka

Panner tikka  is a popular appetizer  made by marinating  panner in a spicy yogurt masala.  The dry version of panner tikka made on a tandoor is hugely popular as a starter. I have used stove top tandoor to make this panner tikka.

Ingredients: ( serves three)
  1. 2 cups paneer cubes
  2. 2 green capsicum chopped into big pieces
  3. 2 firm red tomatoes chopped into big pieces
  4. 1 big onion chopped into big pieces
  5. 3-4 tea spoon oil

To marinate:
  1. 11/2 cup thick yogurt
  2. 1 table spoon red chili powder
  3. 1 tea spoon mace powder
  4. 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 tea spoon haldi
  6. 1 table spoon kasoori methi
  7. 1 tea spoon garam masala powder
  8. 1 table spoon besan
  9. 1 tea spoon jeera powder
  10.  1 tea spoon coriander powder
  11. 1 table spoon lemon juice
  12. 1 tea spoon oil
  13. Salt to taste

Preparation:
  1. Mix all the ingredients under marinate well
  2. Add the chopped capsicum, tomatoes, onion and the paneer cubes to the marinate and mix  gently to coat all the vegetables and paneer well
  3. Refrigerate the marinate for 30 minutes

    4.  Insert the marinated vegetables and paneer  into a wooden skewer and put it on to the hot tandoor

    5. Drizzle oil on the skewer and grill till the vegetables and the paneer are well roasted  and golden brown

    6. Serve immediately with green ( mint and coriander ) chutney
