Kothombari Soppina Tambuli |
Tambuli is a quick Udipi dish that goes very well with rice. It is very easy to make and requires minimum ingredients.
Ingredients:
1 cup packed finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 cup grated fresh coconut
2-3 green chilies
1 tea spoon jeera
1 cup sour curd
1 tea spoon ghee
Salt to taste
For Tadka:1 tea spoon ghee
1 tea spoon mustard seeds
1 dry red chilli
- Wash and finely chop coriander leaves
- Lightly beat the curd with a spoon or a fork
- Heat 1 tea spoon ghee in a pan and add jeera
- When jeera turns light brown add slit green chilies, chopped coriander leaves and sauté for two minutes on a low flame
- Grind the sautéed mixture with fresh coconut adding water, to a fine paste
- Pour the ground mixture into a serving dish, add salt, curd and mix well
- Heat ghee in a tadka pan and add mustard seeds and broken red chilli
- When mustard splits add the tadka to the tambuli
- Serve with rice
