Wheat Dalia and Toor Dal Kitchdi |
Ingredients:
1 cup wheat dalia
1/2 cup toor dal
2 medium size onion finely chopped
1 big tomato finely chopped
100 gm beans, finely chopped
2 carrot finely chopped
2 green chilies finely chopped
7-8 garlic finely chopped
5 cups water
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
2 strands curry leaves
1 spoon jeera
1/4 tea spoon haldi
1/4 tea spoon hing
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1 table spoon ghee
Salt to taste
Preparation:
1. In a vessel put wheat dalia, toor dal, onions, tomatoes, green chilies, beans,carrot, haldi and water
2. Cook in a cooker for three whistle
3.Cool and mash the cooked mixture lightly
4. In a pan heat ghee, add jeera, curry leaves, hing
5. When jeera splits add the mashed and cooked mixture , salt, red chili powder and cook on a low flame.
6. Bring the mixture to a boil and put off the flame
7. Garnish with coriander leaves
8. Serve hot with curd and pickle
