Ammana adige mane in Kannada means mother's kitchen. This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Garlic Sev
This crispy garlic sev, a tea time snack , has a delectable garlic flavor. Toss finely chopped onions, tomatoes and chilies on the sev and enjoy with a cup of hot coffee/Tea.

Ingredients:
2 cups besan
2 table spoon rice flour
10 gralic pods
5 green chilies
1/4 tea spoon cooking soda
salt to taste
Oil for frying sev

Preparation:
1. Grind to a fine paste garlic and green chilies
2.In a mixing bowl mix besan, rice flour, ground garlic and chili paste, salt and cooking soda .
3. Add water and make a tight dough
4. Heat oil for frying the sev
5. Take a hand full of the dough in the sev mould and press directly into the hot oil
6. Fry on medium heat on both the sides and drain the sev on a absorbent paper
7. Store in an air tight container.
