Ammana adige mane in Kannada means mother's kitchen. This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Chiroti Rave Rotti


                                                                     
Chiroti Rave Rotti
Chirotti Rave Rotti is made from fine semolina. It is extremely soft and tastes yummy with any spiced gravied curry

Ingredients:
1 cup chiroti rave
1 cup water
1 table spoon oil
Salt to taste.
Oil for making rotti

Preparation:
1. In a pan boil 1 cup water add salt and 1/2 table spoon oil.
2. When the water boils switch off the flame and slowly add the rava, keep stiring so that no lumps are formed.
3. Mix well and cool.
4. Add the remaining oil and knead the dough well.
5. Divide the dough into equal parts and make balls
6. Press down each ball and flour the surface of the ball and roll them using rolling pin to make a circle
7. Roast on a hot tava by applying little on each side.

8. Serve with any spicy curry
