This blog is aimed at those who love to cook simple home made food with minimum available ingredients.The style of recipes in this blog will be mostly Dakshina Kannada (Vegetarian) home made food. However I intend to share recipes other than authentic Dakshina Kannada cooking which include cuisines from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab...There is also something for those who like cuisine from across the sea.

Capsicum baby corn curry


Capsicum  baby corn curry




This delicious, flavourful curry is sure to please all your senses. A simple dish and  a great combination with roti


Ingredients:
10 baby corn
500 gm capsicum
2 big red tomatoes
1 big onion
1/2 tea spoon haldi
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1 table spoon finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 table spoon oil
1 tea spoon jeera (cumin seeds)
Salt to taste.

Preparation:
1. Cut the baby corn into 1" pieces.
2.Chop finely capsicum.
3. Chop finely onion and tomatoes.
4. Heat oil in a pan and add jeera.
5. When jeera splits add onion, haldi, salt  and saute till onion turns transparent.
6. Add the chopped tomatoes.
7. Cook covered till tomatoes are cooked well.
8. Now add the chopped capsicum and the baby corn and mix well.
9. Cook covered till capsicum and baby corn  are well cooked.
10. Add red chili powder and mix well.
11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
12. Serve hot with roti.
