Avocado Ice Cream |
Avocado is incredibly nutritious, healthy and tasty fruit. It is said to be a versatile fruit with 20 vitamins and minerals. Adding avocados in salad, salsa and desserts makes just anything taste better.
I live in Kathmandu and we have a huge avocado tree in our house. Today I tried making avocado ice cream with minimum ingredients.
Ingredients:
One big ripe avocado
1/2 cup thick cream
2 elachi powdered1 cup sugar
2 tea spoon corn flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sliced almonds
Preparation:
- Cut the avocado into two and deseed
- Scoop the pulp and put it in a mixing bowl
- Boil 1/2 cup milk and add the corn flour and keep stirring till the mixture becomes thick
- Remove the corn flour mixture from the flame and let it cool a bit
- Mix the avocado pulp, sugar, elachi powder, cream and the cooled corn flour mixture
- Using a beater or a churner beat the mixture well to form a homogeneous mixture
- Garnish with sliced almonds
- Freeze the mixture for 3-4 hours before serving
