Masala Wheat Murmura

Masala Wheat Murmura
Wheat murmura  (puffed wheat) is something new to me. I saw it first time during my recent visit to Dharwad. It is healthier and tastier than the normal rice murmura. Add some spice to it and serve it as a tea time snack.

Ingredients:
500 gm wheat murmura
1 cup peanuts
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1/2 tea spoon haldi
8 garlic pods
2 whole  dry red chilies
2 strands curry leaves
1 tea spoon oil
1 tea spoon sugar
1 table spoon hurikadale (roasted channa)
salt to taste
Preparation:
1.Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves,  haldi, broken red chili, peanuts, garlic, and saute till pea nuts turn light brown
2. Put off the flame and add hurikadale, salt, sugar, red chili powder and mix well
3. To this add the wheat murmura and mix well
4. Store in air tight container.
