Masala Bun |
Ingredients:
1 cup maida
1 cup wheat flour
2 tea spoon sugar
3 tea spoon dry yeast
1 table spoon unsalted butter
2 table spoon olive oil/groundnut oil
3/4 cup water
Salt to taste
1 big onion chopped
2 finely chopped green chilies
3 tea spoon jeera
2 strands curry leaves
1 table spoon finely chopped coriander leaves
Preparation:
1. Heat 1 table spoon oil and add jeera, when jeera splits add chopped onions, green chilies, curry leaves and fry till onions are transparent.
2. Add salt and put off the flame and add the chopped coriander leaves.
3. Mix well and set aside
4. Heat water till luke warm. To this add sugar, butter, and oil
5. Now add the yeast and mix gently.
6. Leave this mixture in a warm place for 10 minutes till yeast becomes active.
7. Add this to the flour, onion mixture and knead well for 10 minutes
8. Add more water if required/add little flour if the dough seems watery
9. Leave the dough for 2 hours in a warm place.
10. Knead the dough for another 3 minutes and shape into buns and arrange on a greased baking tray
11. Leave it for 45 minutes
12. Brush the buns with oil/butter
13. Bake in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 15- 20 minutes, till the buns get nice brown colour
14. Enjoy with hot cup of coffee/ Tea
ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಬರದೇ ಇರೋ ನನ್ನಂಥಹ ಗಾಮಾಡ್ ಗೆ ಅರ್ಥ ಆಗೋದ್ ಹ್ಯಾಂಗೇ.
